Cendol is Indonesian traditional beverage made from water with coconut milk, brown sugar and grated liquid ice. After that added a kind of green jelly made from rice flour. The green color comes from suji leaves or pandan leaves. Because cendol served in cold conditions it is very suitable to drink cendol during hot weather.
In Central Java, Indonesia have a similar beverage with cendol, namely Es Dawet (Dawet Ice). In other countries in South East Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Shouthern Thailand) there are also similar drinks like cendol. In Vietnam is better known by the name of ba che che willing or Thap cam.
